Zonexify: better in every frame

We have been moving live television across Europe since 2015. The company has grown, the grid has grown, and the one thing that has not changed is what we are judged on — whether the picture holds when it matters.

Where we started

Zonexify began with a small team of network engineers who were tired of the same complaint from friends and family: the streams were fine on a Tuesday afternoon and fell apart on a Saturday evening. That is not a content problem, it is a capacity and routing problem, and it is solvable. So we set out to solve it properly rather than bolt more channels onto a fragile pipe.

Eleven years later the grid carries 19,500+ live channels and 68,000+ on-demand titles into homes from Cork to Kraków. The engineering priority has never moved: enough headroom on European edge nodes that peak-hour demand is uneventful.

What we are trying to do

Our mission. Deliver live and on-demand European television that is genuinely dependable, at a price an ordinary household does not have to think twice about, with support from people who answer.

Our vision. To be the service that European viewers recommend without hedging — because nothing about it has ever let them down mid-match.

How we actually work

Three decisions shape everything else we do, and each one costs us something.

🌏

European infrastructure, not a re-badged feed

Streams are served from edge nodes inside Europe and load-balanced continuously. Fewer hops means lower latency and a stream that recovers instead of stalling when one route degrades.

🔑

One device, honestly stated

Every subscription authorises a single device. Overselling concurrent connections is the quickest way to wreck peak-hour quality, so we do not do it — and we say so before you pay, not afterwards.

🤝

People on shift, not a ticket queue

Support is staffed around the clock by technicians who use the same player you do. Most first replies land within fifteen minutes, including at three in the morning on a Sunday.

What a subscription gets you

The people behind it

A deliberately small team — around twenty-five people across engineering, content operations and support, spread over four European time zones so there is always someone awake.

Ruairi Mac Suibhne

Founder and managing director. Spent a decade in broadcast network operations before starting Zonexify, and still personally reviews every outage report.

Dublin

Annika Ruiter

Chief technology officer. Designed the load-balancing layer that reroutes streams mid-session, and owns the peak-hour capacity model.

Rotterdam

Jonas Wieland

Head of content operations. Manages the country folders and programme-guide mapping, and decides which requested channels make the grid.

Leipzig

Sofia Lindgren

Support lead. Built the round-the-clock rota and the response-time targets our agents are measured against.

Malmö

Mathieu Delcourt

Partner manager. Looks after the reseller programme and onboards new business partners across the continent.

Liège

Kasia Wrona

Network reliability engineer. Watches the monitoring wall so that most route problems are fixed before a subscriber notices them.

Wrocław

Eleven years, briefly

The milestones that changed what the service could do.

2015

Zonexify is founded in Dublin by a group of broadcast network engineers with one target: eliminate peak-hour buffering.

2016

The first subscription tiers launch, covering Ireland, the UK, Germany and the Benelux countries.

2018

Coverage expands across southern Europe and the Nordics. The 14-day per-country programme guide replaces generic listings.

2020

The load-balancing layer goes live, rerouting degraded streams mid-session. Peak-hour complaints drop by more than two thirds.

2022

Standardising on IBO Player brings a proper native application to Samsung and LG televisions, and the partner panel opens to resellers.

2024

4K delivery rolls out across flagship sport, cinema and documentary networks. Measured uptime passes 99.9%.

2026

The grid reaches 19,500+ live channels and 68,000+ on-demand titles across 28 European countries.
